Michael Jackson died today, only 50 yrs old.

I'm not even really an MJ fan, but it's so weird to think that he's dead. Like, he's been a steady fixture of American pop culture for such a long time that I sort of forgot he was human. So his sudden death is really sad, whether or not you like him or his music.

I mean, he was great in the Jackson Five, and totally dominated the 80s- stuff like Thriller is just iconic.

Seriously, I couldn't have cared less about him yesterday, but now that he's gone it feels like a loss.
Idk.

also: Farah Fawcett died today too. wtf, entertainment industry, wtf?

I bought a leather jacket thinking it was gray, but then I take it home and my parents were like "nice jacket prince" and I'm like “what are you talking about?” and my parents were like “you bought a purple leather jacket”

Ditto. Although the song Thriller itself was way too scary for me! Vincent Price ftw!

It's funny to think about how he was completely dissed for ages when he was alive, but we worship him in his death...
Kinda depressing that we realise just how much he was part of our lives until now. sad.gif
RIP Michael Jackson
